The Chapel Hill TEACCH Center serves persons with autism spectrum disorders in the northeastern section of the North Carolina Piedmont. Our catchment area includes the counties of Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Orange, Person, Vance, Warren, and the cities of Cary, Morrisville, and Apex in Wake County.
We provide services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual with an autism spectrum disorder and their family. Services available include diagnostic evaluations to determine whether or not an individual has an autism spectrum disorder; education and training such as workshops for parents, teachers, and other professionals focusing on characteristics of autism and intervention strategies, consultation services to programs such as schools or residential communities serving individuals with autism, support services for individuals with autism and their families through parent mentors, support groups, and our “friendship files” (a directory of children interested in meeting other children with an autism spectrum diagnosis), and individual intervention services through our Individual Parent Teaching Sessions and home teaching kit program.
The Chapel Hill TEACCH Center is committed to providing life-long assistance to help enable persons with autism spectrum disorders enjoy and live harmoniously in their community. This first appointment will focus on gathering information in order to determine the best ways that we can support you and your family member with autism or suspected autism.

Traveling on I-40 EAST, EXIT at NC-86 (Number 266), towards CHAPEL HILL.
Turn RIGHT onto NC-86 / Airport Road (heading SOUTH) for about 2 miles towards Estes Drive.
Turn RIGHT onto Estes Drive (heading WEST) for about 1.7 miles towards Greensboro Street.
Turn LEFT onto Greensboro Street (heading SOUTH) for about 2 miles towards Rock Haven Road.
Turn RIGHT onto Rock Haven Road and watch to the LEFT for Renee Lynn Court.
Turn LEFT onto Renee Lynn Court and the 100 building will be to the RIGHT.
From the East -
Traveling on I-40 WEST, EXIT at NC-54 W (Number 273A), towards CHAPEL HILL.
The exit will merge onto NC-54 (heading WEST) for about 2.4 miles
Take the US-15 S / US-501 S / NC-54 W off ramp towards CARRBORO / PITTSBORO.
The exit will merge onto Fordham Blvd (heading WEST) for about 3 miles
Take the Merritt Mill Road/South Greensboro Street exit, at the end of the off ramp take a LEFT towards S Greensboro Street for about 0.1 miles.
Turn LEFT onto S Greensboro Street / Smith Level Road at the stop light, go about 0.7 miles towards Rock Haven Road.
Turn RIGHT onto Rock Haven Road and watch to the LEFT for Renee Lynn Court.
Turn LEFT onto Renee Lynn Court and the 100 building will be to the RIGHT.
From the South -
Traveling on US-15 / US-501 NORTH towards CHAPEL HILL.
At Manns Chapel Road (heading NORTH) make landmark of the COLE PARK PLAZA.
On US-15 / US-501 (heading NORTH) 1 mile past COLE PARK PLAZA is Smith Level Road.
Turn LEFT onto Smith Level Road (heading NORTH) for about 2.2 miles towards Rock Haven Road.
Turn LEFT onto Rock Haven Road and watch to the LEFT for Renee Lynn Court.
Turn LEFT onto Renee Lynn Court and the 100 building will be to the RIGHT.
From the North -
Traveling on I-85 SOUTH, EXIT at US-15/501 S towards CHAPEL HILL. Follow 15-501 S for approximately 13 miles into Chapel Hill. Pass UNC Hospital exit. Take exit for 15-501 S toward Pittsboro, turn left at light. At the end of the James Taylor bridge, turn right onto Culbreth Road. Turn left at next light onto Smith Level Road. Turn right onto Rock Haven Road, then left onto Renee Lynne Court.
