Dr. Gary Mesibov, Director of Division TEACCH, Winner of the 2005 Chancellor’s Award
Dr. Gary Mesibov, Director of Division TEACCH, was one of 5 University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill employees honored on September 27, 2005, with the 2005 Chancellor's Award. Established in 1991, the award recognizes meritorious or distinguished accomplishments in leadership, innovation, and public service. At the luncheon recognizing the award winners, Dr. Mesibov's public service contributions to North Carolina and his innovative work in developing services and training programs for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders were cited. In his remarks Chancellor Moeser complimented the award winners on their service to the University and the state above and beyond the call of duty.
This brings to 4 the TEACCH faculty members recognized by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this year for their accomplishments. The others include Dr. Lee Marcus, Dr. Eric Schopler and Dr. Gladys Williams. Click here to browse information on their awards.
