Referral/DX Process

Anyone is welcome to make a referral to TEACCH. The most appropriate referrals are of children, adolescents, or adults who are having difficulty with socializing, communicating, and managing changes in the environment to the point that there is a concern about autism.

We see a child and family for a 1 hour intake screening to determine if TEACCH is an appropriate place for them to seek help. Agencies concerned about a child are welcome to call with the parents' permission. Then the parents will need to call and schedule the intake appointment with Vivian McIntyre, our office manager. Self referrals by adults are also welcome. Information from prior assessments must be faxed or mailed in before the appointment.
