North Carolina’s program for the Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication-handicapped Children is a Division of the Department of Psychiatry of the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It is a comprehensive, community-based program that includes direct services, consultation, research, and professional training.
TEACCH is funded by state and federal funds, and increasingly by private gifts and memorials. Private donations are not only especially welcomed, but are always needed. Donations can be made directly to the Raleigh TEACCH Center and, because TEACCH is part of the University of North Carolina, all private donations to TEACCH are tax deductible.
