Target Audience
This conference is designed for teachers, psychologists, parents, researchers, physicians, allied health professionals, and others interested in the field of autism spectrum disorders.
Content
Through presentations and small group discussions, this conference will serve to identify and discuss issues and major themes relating to changes over time in autism clinical and research issues.
Objectives
Objectives of the 29th Annual TEACCH Conference include:
Understanding changes in the past decade in cognitive behavioral interventions with more capable people with autism and Asperger Syncrome
Learning more about developmental trajectories in parents of children with autism
Knowing more about joint attention and its clinical applications
Understanding the perspectives of a parent of a child with autism and how they reflect changes in the field over the past 50 years
Becoming aware of changes in the past two decades in the field of social skills training
Continuing Education Credits
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been authorized by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to award CEUs for this program. Licensing boards, certifying bodies, and regulatory agencies may differ in the way they recognize the CEU in fulfilling necessary professional credit. Participants are encouraged to contact their local DPI or other accrediting agency to determine the appropriateness of using the CEU for this purpose. Participants attending the entire conference are eligible for CEUs. The cost of CEUs is included in the registration fee.

Registration acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.
